Good Morning, Burlington!

As my dad used to say, “Careful this morning, the bridges are slick.” I’m not sure if the temperature technically got down to freezing overnight, but I do know that it rained a lot yesterday and it’s pretty cold out there—and, it’s a scientific fact that water on bridges freezes more quickly than water on the roadways. So, do take it easy this morning.

Save the Date: Burlington Buzz Civic Expo

This morning, the busy bees behind the Buzz wanted to share something very exciting—an idea we’ve been working on for months that has finally come to fruition.

On January 17, from 5:00-7:00 PM, Burlington Buzz and the town of Burlington will be hosting our first-ever Civic Expo. The events aims to bring together the people that form the backbone of our town: the departments that run things and the boards and commissions that oversee them, as well as the non-profits that work tirelessly to ensure all Burlington residents have what they need.

Many of the details are still being ironed out, but we can tell you that we expect to provide refreshments (for free) and childcare (for a suggested donation), and we hope to have all departments represented.
