Hello, Burlington!

Whoa, that was quite a week. I’m fine, promise. But whatever virus that was, I haven’t been that sick in a very long time. I’m still not entirely with it, so I’m going to put together the Weekly Buzz for today and hope to have more energy to write up the Weekend Buzz (which typically comes on Saturdays) for tomorrow.

First things first: If you celebrated Thanksgiving this week, I hope you had the best holiday, and not too stressful. And I hope you have at least another day’s worth of your favorite leftover hanging out in the fridge.

We had a real team effort around here, and though the holiday looked nothing like we expected it to, and though we ended up staying home and doing Legos instead of traveling out of state, we had a really nice, quiet holiday.

Also, we are only two annual memberships away from earning $100 for our November partnership with People Helping People! With five days left in the month, I know we can make that happen!

This Week in Burlington

Okay, so here’s the deal. There was a short week, which ended on two holidays. So I imagine agendas that normally would have been turned in later in the week will be coming in toward the beginning of the upcoming week. So here’s all we got:

Monday, November 28

  • 6:00 PM - Select Board

Tuesday, November 29

  • 7:00 PM - Housing Partnership

Wednesday, November 30

  • 4:00 PM - Board of Assessors

  • 5:30 PM - Community Dinner at Presbyterian Church

Thursday, December 1

  • After you resuscitate me from the shock of it being December already, remember that there is no school today.

Sports

I see some basketball creeping into the calendar next week! Soon winter sports will be in full swing.

I’m going to leave it at that, because I’ve already lost my train of thought four times. But! I’m on the mend. So tomorrow, provided I get a chance to sit down and put my thoughts together, hopefully I’ll have something coherent for you.

Hope you didn’t miss me too much!

Nicci
