Good Morning, friends and neighbors!

I asked, and you answered! Several new folks subscribed yesterday (welcome!), and we are well on our way to reaching our goal of 1,000 subscribers by the end of 2022. Keep spreading the word, and attention 📢 new subscribers! Don’t forget to email me your address so I can drop off your free Buzz ceramic mug! You should be able to find instructions in the email header, but the short version is that you can always reply to any of my emails to reach me.

Today, I wanted to let you know about a new feature on the town website: accessibility options! Thanks to funding from the Burlington Disability Access Commission, the town was able to obtain AudioEye certification. According to the Town Clerk’s office, the process of AudioEye certification:

In other words, the aim of this process is to enhance usability of the website for all users, including those with motor and visual impairments. To access these features, click on the blue person icon at the bottom right corner of the website. It looks like this:

Today in Burlington

It’s a slow and easy start to the week today.

Meetings and Events

  • Bylaw Review Committee Sign Subcommittee is expected to discuss the Municipal Sign Zoning Bylaw amendment and other Town Center Sign guidelines. (Join online)

Sports and Activities

The only thing I have on my calendar today is the Boys’ swim meet at 4:30. I also neglected to mention the Speed Classic yesterday in which our indoor track teams participated! Results can be found here.

That’s all for today; I hope you have a great one!
