Daily Buzz | Final Discussion of Warrant Articles Ahead of Town Meeting
Special Education Parent Advisory council meets tonight, as well
Good morning, neighbors!
I’ve compiled a summary of Warrant Articles for tomorrow’s town meeting; give it a scan to see if there’s anything there you have an opinion about. And if there is, let your Town Meeting Members know!
Today in Burlington
With Town Meeting coming up tomorrow, the last of the pre-TM conversations will be happening at Capital Budget tonight.
11:00 AM - Foreign Affairs Forum at the library, the second of nine parts
7:00 PM - Board of Health has dropped off the calendar. So either it was an error, or they’re no longer meeting.
7:00 PM - Shawsheen School Committee votes to authorize MASC (Massachusetts Association of School Committees) to update the policy manual; they will also hear from the business manager, superintendent, and various subcommittees and do a first read of a policy on Facebook and Social Networking, among other items. (Watch online)
7:00 PM - Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) will review how the Extended School Year program went in 2022 and start thinking about recommendations for next year; they’ll also hear about the special education program review and the equity audit. (Join online)
As there were no games yesterday, I’ll get right to today’s schedule.
Volleyball is at Bedford, with Freshman and Junior Varsity girls playing at 4 and Varsity at 5:30.
Girls’ soccer is also on the road today, with JV and Varsity teams playing in Wakefield at 4:15.
Also in soccer, the JV Boys play Wakefield at home at 4:15.
Looking forward to tomorrow!
Have a great day, Burlington!
