Hello again, friends!

Today’s best-of is about Pride. Why doesn’t Burlington fly a Pride flag like many of our neighboring towns? Do we have a Pride celebration? Why is it so important to build community understanding and inclusion around the LGBTQIA+ community?

And an update: The Select Board did indeed sign a proclamation naming June as Pride month on June 27, 2022. The conversation about flags and the use of the common has been postponed and is expected to begin anew in August. I hope it does, and I hope the Board is more proactive in the future about recognizing Pride and other events that are important to our community members.
