Burlington Opens Fall Season With Three Losses to Lexington
Girls' volleyball, field hockey, and boys' soccer each fell to Lexington on opening day as Burlington goes 0–3 to start the fall season.
Burlington varsity teams went 0–3 on Tuesday, with girls' volleyball, girls' field hockey, and boys' soccer each falling to Lexington in season openers.
Girls' volleyball dropped all three matches at home. The freshman team lost in straight sets, JV fell in three, and varsity pushed to five before dropping the match — all three teams open the season 0–1.
Girls' field hockey fell 7–0 at Lexington. JV lost 3–1.
Boys' soccer lost 3–1 to Lexington behind a strong defensive effort. JV fell 4–0. The team hosts its annual soccer night Friday.
Thursday is a busy one at home. Girls' volleyball and girls' field hockey both host Melrose in the afternoon, and boys' football and girls' competitive cheerleading host Lexington in the evening.
Wednesday is a lighter day with girls' soccer at Lexington at 4:15 and girls' swim at Billerica at 4:30.
