Badges and Bases Event This Sunday Pits Fire and Police Against Each Other For a Good Cause
Also, enjoy the Fall Fitness Festival on the Common on Saturday
I somehow neglected to mention in the Weekly Buzz (Don’t worry; it’s fixed now!) that the Badges and Bases game we’ve been looking forward to for weeks is finally upon us! This Sunday afternoon, from 1-5, the Police and Fire Departments will battle each other in a softball game to benefit The Mama Bear Effect, a Burlington-based organization dedicated to raising awareness and protecting children from the threat of sexual abuse. While registration is free, there are lots of sponsorship opportunities still available - consider pooling together with some friends or family and sponsoring this event.
Another thing I didn’t mention was the Fall Fitness Festival from 10-1 on the Common on Saturday, 9/24. Click here for more info, including when they’ll be running family Zumba and a number of other classes. 💃🏼😊
Finally, I learned of a tennis fundraiser this Saturday morning to benefit Boston Children’s Hospital. If you play singles and/or doubles and like to help benefit a good cause, check it out.
