Walk-Off Hit Seals Baseball Win as Red Devils Host Packed Wednesday Slate

The Red Devils kept things competitive Tuesday, picking up key wins and battling hard across the board.

Baseball came down to the wire in a dramatic finish. The game remained scoreless until the final inning, when Wakefield broke through with a run. But Burlington answered in clutch fashion—Jack Mercier delivered a two-run single to lift the varsity squad to a 2–1 walk-off win, improving their record to 8–7. JV fell to Wakefield 18–7.

Softball battled hard in a tight contest but came up just short in a 4–3 loss to Wakefield. The varsity team looks to bounce back Thursday when they host Wilmington.

In boys' varsity lacrosse, the Red Devils turned in a strong performance, topping Wakefield 10–7 and moving to 7–8 on the season.

Girls' varsity lacrosse played a close one as well but fell 10–8 to Wakefield, dropping to 5–9.
