Red Devils Tennis Moves On as Lacrosse Prepares for Round of 32 Battles

The MIAA state tournament is underway, and one Burlington team is gearing up to move on to the next round.

Boys’ Tennis powered through a three-hour match in the Round of 32, earning a 4–1 win over Northampton. Victories came from Daksh Shah, Ridhaan Ayyagari, Rohan Parikh, and the doubles team of Krish Soni & Abhay Jhumat. The Red Devils now advance to the Round of 16, where they'll play the winner of today's matchup between Somerville and #2 Hingham.

While one team saw success, yesterday brought an ending for many teams:

Girls’ Tennis saw their season come to a close with a tough 5–0 loss on the road against Duxbury in the Round of 32.

Softball wrapped up their spring with a 7–5 loss to Woburn in the preliminary round, as did the baseball team with a 7-0 loss to Masconomet.

Playoff Schedule for Friday, May 30

  • Boys’ Lacrosse – #10 Burlington hosts #23 Foxborough at 5:30 PM on Varsity Field.
  • Girls’ Lacrosse – #18 Burlington travels to #15 Marshfield for a 5:30 PM start.
