Red Devils Take on Wildcats in Basketball
After a wrestling loss, the team heads to sectionals this weekend. Today, JV hockey and lots of basketball, all against Wilmington.
The wrestling team yesterday lost their last regular season meet in Watertown, falling to the Raiders by only 4 points after all was said and done. Bonnell, Farrow, Tonani, and Leavitt all had pins while Shvartsman and Abreu won decisions and McElroy had a technical fall. The final score of the meet was 41-37. This Saturday the team will be at sectionals.
Today the basketball teams are at it against Wilmington. The freshman boys host their gams at 4:15 at BHS, while the rest of the teams travel up 62 to face the Wildcats The day kicks off in Wilmington at 4:00 as the JV girls take the court; the varsity girls follow at 5;00. JV boys start their game at 5:30, while the varsity boys play at 7:00.
The Wilmington girls' team is 4-12 in Division 3 against Burlington's 9-8 in D2; the boys' records are more evenly matched at 11-6 for the Wildcats and 11-5 for the Devils, though again the Wildcats are a D3 team and the Red Devils are D2.
The boys' JV hockey team will also be playing Wilmington, taking the ice at the Ice Palace at 8:30 tonight.
