Red Devils Swim, Wrestling and Hockey Deliver Busy Midweek Results

Burlington winter teams packed plenty of effort into their mid-week battles, with strong performances in the pool, a dominant showing on the mat, and hard-fought hockey results against Reading.

The boys’ swim team earned a 97–73 win over Winchester on Tuesday, continuing a strong late-season push. They went on to battle in a league meet Wednesday evening; stay tuned for those results.

Wrestling came through on Wednesday with a commanding 66–9 Senior Night win over Keefe Tech. The Red Devils controlled the night with pins from Shvartsman, Vahovskiy, Abreu, Tonani, Carrasquillo and Murphy, along with bonus-point wins across the lineup. The victory moves Burlington to 13-10-1 on the season.

On the ice, boys’ hockey battled #8-ranked Reading to a 2–2 tie, moving them to 10-2-1 on the season. After falling behind early, the Devils rallied with goals from James Gordon and Jake Griffin before Reading equalized late. Girls’ hockey showed grit throughout but dropped a 3–0 decision, keeping the game scoreless through one period before Reading pulled ahead. Their new record is 4-9.

With midweek action complete, the Red Devils now turn toward a full slate of upcoming contests as the winter season continues.
