Red Devils Rattle Off Five Wins Across Monday and Tuesday
Burlington won five times in two days, with both lacrosse teams winning Monday and baseball, boys' tennis, and girls' tennis all picking up victories Tuesday.
After a rough go last week, Burlington bounced back hard to open this week.
Boys' tennis kicked things off Monday with a 4-1 win at Wakefield, improving to 5-7. The Red Devils were back at it Tuesday at home and swept Woburn 5-0, moving to 6-7 β two wins in two days. Girls' tennis also picked up a 3-2 win at Woburn, with Therese Kozinski, Cecelia Fraczek, and Eesha Soni earning the winning points β Soni's match clinched it for Burlington.
Girls' lacrosse edged Stoneham 9-8 on the road Monday to move to 6-8, while the boys' team rolled past the Spartans 12-4 at home to improve to 8-4.
Tuesday's offense continued on the baseball diamond, where Burlington hammered Woburn 11-1 at Francis Wyman Field, improving to 5-8. Boys' volleyball dropped a 1-3 decision at Winchester, falling to 6-7.
Varsity softball's result at Woburn on Tuesday had not been reported at time of publication. They're currently reporting a record of 2-9 record following a 1-13 loss at Wakefield on Friday.
