Red Devils Lacrosse Opens Week With Mixed Results
Boys' lacrosse topped Melrose on the road Monday while tennis teams and girls' lacrosse squads fell short.
Burlington High School had six teams in action Monday, April 13.
In lacrosse, the boys' varsity team won at Melrose 7-6, moving to 3-2. JV fell to to the Red Hawks 6-1. The girls fell to 2-3 with a close 18-17 loss to Melrose at BHS, while the JV squad came up short with a score of 7-3. The entire lacrosse program gets another chance tomorrow against Arlington.
Ridhaan Ayyagari and Casey Shannon each won their individual matches in boys' tennis, though the team lost the meet 2-3 to reading. The rockets shut out the girls' tennis team 5-0. Both tennis teams will be back at it this afternoon with matches against Wakefield.

- 4:15 — JV and varsity Baseball at Melrose).
- Volleyball vs. Arlington (BHS): JV at 4:00; varsity at 5:30.
- Tennis against Wakefield: Boys host at Rahanis Park at 4:00; girls travel to Wakefield for a 4:15 game.
- 4:15 — Softball vs. Melrose: Varsity hosts at Rotary Field; JV at Marvin Field.
