Fair Weather Brings Face Offs Against Tough Opponents
The Red Devils face some strong teams this afternoon in a packed lineup of games.

While the day was finally a nice one for outdoor sports, the tennis teams suffered double losses to strong Winchester teams. The boys dropped their match 1-4 despite a singles win by Soham Shah, and the girls were swept 5-0 by the Red and Black. Both teams will be at it again today, this time at 4:00 against Watertown. Girls will host a home game at Rahanis against a tough 9-4 team, and boys will travel for their game against the 1-9 Raiders.
The softball teams scored two big wins yesterday against Belmont, with the JV team winning 23-12 and the varsity team going 4-3.
This afternoon, the weather looks nice again and the slate of games is packed:
- The 1-12 boys' volleyball teams will host 10-3 Winchester at BHS, with 4:00 JV and 5:30 varsity games.
- Lacrosse against two strong Winchester teams is also on the agenda, as the boys host a 4:00 JV match at Marshall Simonds and a varsity game at BHS at 5:30. Girls will be playing in Winchester at 4:45 (varsity) and 6:00 (JV).
- Baseball and softball have JV and varsity games this afternoon at 4:15, all against Melrose on their home fields.
Best of luck to BHS athletes on a busy day of athletics!
