Burlington Spring Teams Face Early Challenges in Opening Week Action
Burlington spring teams opened the season with early challenges in lacrosse and volleyball, showing growth and resilience heading forward.
Burlington’s spring season is officially underway, with early matchups giving teams a chance to settle in, test lineups, and build momentum for the weeks ahead.
Boys’ lacrosse opened its season with a 9–5 loss to Chelmsford, where turnovers and missed opportunities proved costly despite strong effort. The Red Devils followed with a tough 14–3 loss against Reading in a game that forced younger players into larger roles and providing valuable early-season experience.
Girls’ lacrosse saw last Thursday's game postponed before falling 12–6 to Ipswich on Saturday.
Boys’ volleyball also faced a competitive game against Belmont after an undefeated first three games. JV dropped a 2–0 decision, while varsity fell 3–0 in a tightly contested match that featured two narrow sets, moving to 3–1 on the season.
As they settle into the season, Burlington teams turn their focus toward improvement and consistency as the spring schedule ramps up.
