Burlington Basketball Scores Double Wins Against Winchester
Burlington girls’ and boys’ basketball both knocked off Winchester in tight games, hockey on the agenda for Wednesday
The Red Devils basketball teams delivered a banner night with a pair of impressive wins over Winchester, as both the girls’ and boys’ teams came through in close, hard-fought battles.
The Lady Devils held off a strong Winchester squad that entered the game 10–4, earning a 44–38 win in a contest that stayed tight throughout. Gill, Thomas, and freshman McFadden each scored nine points, while Ochi added seven points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks to help seal the team victory.
On the boys’ side, Burlington pulled off a statement road win, edging the previously unbeaten Red and Black 57–54. Poehler finished with 20 points, while M. Gray added 17 and Sekandi chipped in 10.
