Burlington Basketball Clinches Tournament Berths as Boys, Girls Sweep Stoneham

Burlington basketball delivered a milestone night Tuesday as the girls’ team earned a statement win over Stoneham, punching their ticket to the postseason in the process.
The Lady Devils battled to a 40–30 win in a physical, hard-fought game against relentless effort from the Spartans. Burlington’s defense put up a strong game from start to finish.
Captain Erin Reilly led the way with 14 points and six assists, while Ochi added 13 points and seven rebounds. Team defense set the tone all night as the Devils secured their fifth straight victory — clinching a tournament berth and continuing their late-season surge.
This win came after an exciting 64–53 comeback victory for the boys over Stoneham.
Trailing by eight in the second half, Burlington erupted for a 26-point fourth quarter to flip the game. M. Gray led with 20 points, Ellis & Shannon added 11. Poehler and J. Gray each chipped in eight as the Red Devils moved to 15–2 overall (14–1 in the Middlesex League).
With both teams tournament-bound, Burlington heads into the final stretch of the regular season carrying momentum on both sides.
