Weekly Buzz | Budget Season is Upon Us

Hello!

I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend so far.

We just published a press release from our Town Clerk regarding Town Meeting Member attendance at our last meeting. Click here for the report. The high-level overview is that attendance was 78%, meaning almost a quarter of our TMMs didn’t show up. Additionally, some precincts showed up more than others. This is a good opportunity for you to connect with Town Meeting Members for your precinct (and those who will be in place after the election in April) and be sure they plan to attend and represent you at May Town Meeting, where we’ll be setting the budget for the coming year.

Budget season gets firmly underway this week, with a number of Ways & Means subcommittees meeting to discuss the budgets of various departments around town. Lots of other meetings will be happening, too! As meetings and agendas are required to be posted 48 hours before the meeting, the info below is subject to change – especially for later in the week.

So, be sure to look out the morning of each meeting for a link to the agenda and, if applicable, ways to participate.

There are also some awesome things happening for people of all ages at the library this week, including a scavenger hunt, craft time, leprechaun stuff, blood pressure screenings, Mah Jongg, and much more. Check out the calendar for more information!
