Friday Buzz | Newsies Jr. Tickets Still Available
Shows are this evening and tomorrow afternoon
Happy Friday! I have a few notes for you today, and that’s all.
You might have received an email or read a Facebook post or *ahem* gotten a letter in the mail about this already, but it bears repeating: our water supply is low. Like, real low. (I was going to be slick here and embed a post from the DPW on Facebook, but for some reason I can’t share it so either go there yourself or take my word for it:) We are not quite in an emergency situation yet, but we’re creeping into that territory. There is an outdoor watering ban in effect. Say what you will about Burlington water (and if you’ve been here for awhile you know I have plenty to say), if there’s no water in Mill Pond and the Shawsheen River and the Quabbin, there’s no water for our showers and (albeit reverse-osmosis-filtered) drinking and cooking and garden watering. Please observe the outdoor watering ban, for the sake of the community.
Go See a Play This Weekend!
Newsies, Jr. is happening at BHS, and it’s gonna be super fun. There are still tickets left, so get yours now! shows are at 7:00 tonight and 2:00 tomorrow.
When I first scrolled by this photo, I 100% saw every single one of these people (and a hint of Brad Pitt, tbh) before I ever read the caption. What about you?
Alright, that’s it for me. But I’ll see you tomorrow with an exciting community announcement!
Join the resident water patrol. If you see something that should not be happening pertaining to the water ban. Call the Town’s water department. They would love to hear about abuse of or water supply. This is a REAL drought this time.
