Remembering back to the days when this was the view outside my classroom window. Sunset over East Boston. Photo by author.

Good Morning, Neighbors!

Eighty-six of our 126 Town Meeting Members delivered what might be the shortest Town Meeting on record last night.

  • Financial accounts were kept current.

  • $25,000 was approved for a cybersecurity assessment.

  • The town has permission to enter into a 5-year waste collection contract. It doesn’t have to be republic, but it might end up being with them anyway.

  • Articles 13-19 were withdrawn.

  • Article 2 (Electronic Sign on the Town Common) was postponed.

See here for more details.
