Select Board Announces Departure of Town Administrator
Burlington's Town Administrator will be departing in May; a successor has not yet been named.

The Burlington Select Board announced on Friday that Town Administrator, Paul Sagarino, will be leaving the town in May for another municipality.
Sagarino has been Town Administrator for six years, helping ensure essential town services were still delivered through the COVID-19 pandemic, says a press release from the Select Board. Paul supported many other town initiatives, including the construction of PFAS filters at Mill Pond, the reservoir that serves Burlington with much of its drinking water; the town was among the first to complete this kind of project.
“We sincerely thank Paul for his unwavering dedication and leadership throughout his almost 20 years of service to the Town,” said the Select Board’s press release.
The Town Administrator is appointed by the Select Board and oversees most town department heads.
A succession plan hasn’t been announced yet; the Select Board says they’ll be working with staff to determine the next best step.
