Letter to the Editor: Joy of Reading (a poem)
A poem by Burlington resident, Phil Gallagher

In quiet corners, pages turn
A world awaits, where hearts can yearn.
With every line, new realms ignite,
A spark of joy in the endless night.
Through stories spun with golden thread,
We wander paths where few have tread.
Exploration blooms in the mind's embrace,
Each chapter a journey, each word a place.
Imagination dances, wild and free
In landscapes painted by you and me.
Here dragons soar and oceans sing.
In the heart of a book, we find our wings.
With each new plot, we glean, we grow,
finding joy in the ebb and flow,
In laughter and sorrow, in triumph and fear,
the gift of learning is forever near.
For through the pages, our spirits will soar,
A boundless journey, forever more.
