Daily Buzz | Burlington to Host Town Hall With Congressman Seth Moulton

Good Morning, Burlington!

If you’re wondering why traffic is lighter this morning than it was on Wednesday and Thursday, remember that there’s no school today in Burlington. There will be no school Monday, either, due to the Labor Day holiday, and town offices will be closed, too. The library will also be closed this weekend, so stock up on reading material and video games by 6PM today.

There are several events coming up next week that I want to be sure you know about.

On Wednesday, September 6, from 6:00-7:00, Congressman Seth Moulton will be holding a Town Hall at Grandview Farm. Seth has represented the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District since 2015. This is your opportunity to ask questions directly to your representative and learn more about his priorities in Congress. Doors open at 5:30; mark your calendar!

On Thursday, September 7, from 4:30-8:30, Burlington opens its third season of Beer Gardens in the Community Corner pocket park next to Coldwell Banker. Joining us next week will be Zero Gravity brewing, along with Halal Eatz!, Al Maidah Indian Cuisine, Viet Citron, Pizza Works, Rosa Mexicano, True North, and Schoolhouse Ice Cream. There will also be live music! This is the first of four Beer Garden and Local Business Fest events, which will be occurring on Thursdays in September. I hope to see you there!

As I mentioned yesterday, next Friday is the opening night for the Burlington Players show, Ripcord. Get your tickets here!

And, finally, there will be an open house at the Francis Wyman House, 56 Francis Wyman Road, on September 9.

Other upcoming events:

  • September 12 - Eversource Office Hours at True North
  • September 16-17 - Rahanis Open Tennis Tournament
  • September 17 - Truck Day
