Burlington winter teams opened the season with solid performances, from basketball and hockey results to a strong first showing on the wrestling mat.
A new winter season is officially underway in Burlington, and the Red Devils wasted no time getting into the action across basketball, hockey and wrestling.
On the hardwood, boys’ basketball dropped a tight 64–62 game to Lexington despite strong scoring nights from Gray (29) and Poehler (16). The program showed depth across levels, with the freshmen earning a 64–55 win and JV falling just short, 65–64.

On the ice, boys’ hockey rolled past Lexington 6–0, powered by two goals from Berardinelli and tallies from Tulipano, Gordon, Shanahan, and Condon. Girls’ hockey battled but came up just short in a 3–2 loss despite goals from Emma Steiner and Sofia Cleary.
