Volleyball Edges Melrose in Thriller; Field Hockey Stays Competitive
Burlington teams fought hard Monday, with volleyball pulling off a dramatic win and field hockey and soccer turning in determined efforts.

Burlington teams were back in action Monday, taking on Melrose across several sports. Volleyball earned a statement win, while field hockey and soccer showed strong performances against tough opponents.
In Volleyball, Varsity pulled out a 3β2 victory to improve to 14β4, with Kayla Walker earning Player of the Match honors. JV won 2β0 (13β5), and freshmen fell 0β2 (3β14).
The field hockey game ended in a 2β2 tie, with goals from Shayla Kocur and Caroline Beane (assist from Sophia Marshall). Kocur was recognized post-game for her speed, awareness, and leadership.
The boysβ soccer team took a 3β1 loss, battling through a physical contest. The team returns home Wednesday vs. Wilmington.
