Volleyball and Field Hockey Highlight Busy Day; Junior Devils Football Shines Midweek

Thursday brought a full slate of Burlington sports with mixed results across the board.

In freshman Soccer, the boys fell 8-1 to Melrose; girls' score isn't yet posted.

Two of three volleyball teams came out with wins yesterday against Melrose: the freshman team lost their match 0-2, while JV won 2-0, improving to 3-2, and varsity won 3-1; their new record is 4-1.

The varsity field hockey team battled to a 1-1 tie with Melrose, while JV fell 4-1.

On Wednesday night, the Burlington Jr. Devils football team dominated Woburn 26-0. Despite some early mistakes, they cleaned things up in the second half to secure a shutout win.

  • Boys’ Soccer at Arlington Catholic, 4:15 PM (JV & Varsity)
  • Football Home Opener vs. Westborough at Varsity Field, 6:00 PM

No Red Devils athletic events are scheduled this weekend.
