Swim, Field Hockey, XC Earn Tuesday Wins

The Burlington girls' volleyball program continued its strong season Tuesday against Wakefield with a JV win (2-1, new record 10-3) and a varsity loss (3-1, new record 10-3). Addie Cicolini earned Player of the Match honors.

Field hockey picked up a 2–0 win over Wakefield behind goals from junior Caroline Beane (assisted by senior Karleigh Weber) and Weber herself. Goalie Lauren Scalia earned the shutout, supported by strong defensive play from Lucy Clement, Maddie Costa, Jamie Mulkerin, and Sofia Cleary.

Boys’ cross country remained undefeated in the Middlesex League Freedom Division, cruising past Watertown 15–50. Girls’ results were not available at press time.

Girls’ swimming also turned in a strong performance, with the combined Burlington-Woburn team defeating Stoneham 87–60.

Wednesday's schedule:

  • Varsity Girls Swimming vs Belmont, 4:00 at their home pool, Woburn Boys' and Girls' Club
  • Soccer against Woburn, with girls traveling and boys hosting. JV teams play at 4:15; varsity girls play at 5:00, and varsity boys play at 7:00.
