Red Devils Close the Week With Big Volleyball Wins

It was a busy weekend for Burlington sports with mixed showings across programs.

Despite standout performances from captain Giacomo Berardinelli and Jack Tucci, the Red Devils golf team came up short 40–32 in a tight match against Wakefield.

In field hockey, the varsity team battled hard but fell 6-0 to Watertown, while JV dropped a 1-0 matchup. The team now turns focus to three home games this week.

The volleyball team put up a strong performance on Friday vs. Watertown: While the freshman team lost 0-2, the JV and varsity teams swept 2-0 and 3-0, respectively, with Player of the Match honors going to Ula Rinkeviciute. The varsity team continued their winning weekend on Saturday, edging out Billerica 3-2. Freshman brought home a 2-1 win that day, while JV lost 0-2. Player of the Match went to Cassidy Hanlon.

In girls’ soccer, the freshman team dropped a 6-1 contest to Watertown.
