Burlington Volleyball, Track, and Softball Highlight Strong Wednesday Performances
Burlington volleyball, track, and softball delivered standout wins Wednesday, highlighted by a sweep over Wakefield and a dominant track victory.
Burlington teams turned in a strong midweek showing, with key wins across volleyball, track, and softball highlighting Wednesday’s action.
Boys’ volleyball led the way with a sweep of Wakefield. JV earned a 2–1 win to even its record at 3–3, while varsity dominated in straight sets (25–8, 25–12, 25–18) to improve to 4–2.
On the track, boys’ track and field delivered a commanding 103–33 win over Wilmington, continuing an impressive early-season run. Girls bested the Wildcats 73-53.
Softball also impressed at home, rolling to a decisive 14–2 win over Watertown.
On the courts, boys’ tennis battled but came up just short in a 3–2 loss to Melrose, with wins from Arnav Jhumat and Casey Shannon. Girls’ tennis fell 5–0 against a strong Melrose team.
Today, Burlington heads into another busy day of competition.
