Burlington Volleyball Sweeps Wilmington; Swimmer Sets League Record at ML Meet
Burlington volleyball earns a clean sweep over Wilmington, while Woburn-Burlington swimmer Ryley McCarthy sets a new Middlesex League record in the 100 backstroke.
Burlington volleyball kept its momentum rolling Thursday, sweeping Wilmington across all three levels.
- Freshmen won, improving to 4â14.
- JV earned a 2â0 win, now 14â5.
- Varsity claimed a 3â0 victory, improving to 15â4, with Ula Rinkeviciute named Player of the Match after surpassing 2,000 career assists!
In the pool, Ryley McCarthy of the combined Woburn-Burlington swim team broke the Middlesex League record in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:01.32. She also joined Ava Eldridge, Kayleigh McCarthy, and Sadie Floyd on the 200 Medley Relay, which set a new Woburn school record (1:59.28) and took second overall. Kayleigh McCarthy also took first place overall.
Field Hockey fell 7â0 to powerhouse Watertown.
