Burlington Teams Fall to Melrose and Winchester; Volleyball, Field Hockey, and Swim Set for Thursday Action
Red Devils cross country and soccer teams fell to Melrose and Winchester, with volleyball, field hockey, and swimming taking the stage Thursday.
The cross country teams both fell on Tuesday to strong Melrose teams. The boys' score was 18-39, while the girls fell 19-36 despite a second-place finish from Mariska Kilroy with 21:52.
Likewise, the soccer teams couldn't secure a W against Winchester on Wednesday. The boys fell 5-0, while the girls lost their match 2-1. Junior varsity girls took a 7-1 loss, as well.
Thursday's Schedule:
- Freshman soccer vs Winchester: Girls travel for a 4:00 game, while boys host the Red and Black at 4:15.
- Volleyball vs. Winchester at home: Freshman and JV teams play at 4:15; varsity plays at 5:30.
- Field hockey vs. Winchester at home: Varsity plays at 4:15; JV plays at 5:30.
- Girls' swimming at Arlington at 8:30.
