It was another strong showing for Burlington athletics on Thursday, highlighted by football’s undefeated finish and volleyball’s postseason success.

The Red Devils football team capped off their regular season with a dominant 32–0 win over Wakefield, securing their first undefeated regular season since 2006. The victory sets them up with major momentum heading into the postseason.

On the volleyball court, the Lady Devils kicked off their playoff run with a 3–1 win over Westwood in the MIAA Division 2 Round of 32. Player of the Match Abby Seaman led the way as the Devils advanced to the Round of 16, where they’ll face the winner of Woburn vs. Marblehead. The date and time of that matchup are still to be determined.

The athletics calendar is quiet on Friday, with JV football set to travel to Wakefield at 9 a.m. Saturday. Girls’ soccer brackets are expected to be released Saturday, followed by football brackets on Sunday.
