Burlington Cross Country Tops Stoneham; Soccer and Field Hockey Battle Wilmington
Burlington’s girls’ cross country earns a home win over Stoneham as soccer and field hockey teams notch tight contests against Wilmington.

Burlington’s Lady Devils cross country team earned a solid home win over Stoneham on Tuesday, taking the meet 22–35. The Lady Devils were led by Mariska Kilroy (20:41) and Shaelyn Fitzgerald (22:14), who finished first and second respectively.
On Wednesday, Burlington’s teams turned in several strong performances across the board:
The Junior Devils Middle School Football team stayed perfect at 7–0 with a 22–6 win over Winchester in a battle of unbeaten teams.
The field hockey team played to a 1–1 draw with Wilmington, with Sophia Marshall scoring off an assist from Karleigh Weber, who earned team recognition for leadership and grit.
The boys’ soccer team earned a 1–0 win over Wilmington thanks to a goal from Newhall, assisted by N. Castro, improving to 2–13–1.
Lady Devils soccer battled Wilmington to a 0–0 tie, moving to 8–6–1 on the season.
