Burlington Caps Homecoming Weekend with Football Win, Volleyball Sweep

It was a winning Homecoming weekend for Burlington athletics, as the Red Devils’ teams turned in big performances in football, volleyball, and soccer action.

The football team defeated Watertown 29–7 in their Breast Cancer Awareness / Homecoming game, maintaining their undefeated record and #4 ranking in the division.

Volleyball kept rolling with a sweep of Stoneham: JV won 2–1, improving to 15–5, and Varsity swept 3–0, pushing their record to 16–4. Hazel Yiu earned Player of the Match honors.

Girls’ soccer tied Boston Latin School 2–2, bringing their record to 8–6–2, while boys’ varsity soccer fell 4–0 to Watertown on Saturday; their record is now 2-14-1.

State tournament brackets start dropping Tuesday, with nearly every Burlington team in contention for postseason play.
