Weekly Buzz | Election Results Are In

Plus, holiday activities for all

Good Morning, Burlington!

The election is over, and we have some results. Most notably, Jeremy Brooks unseated Carl Foss in his School Committee bid. He and Katherine Bond will be serving for the next three years. Lindsay Carlson beat out Brian Pupa for a seat on the Recreation Commission.

See full preliminary results here. I’m not going to pretend I’m not disappointed at the turnout (14.81%). But at least one candidate said she ran as a directly result of the work I’ve been doing on the Buzz, so that does provide some validation.

I wanted to let you know about the annual Passover Second Seder dinner being held at Temple Shalom Emeth on April 6. There will be food, a band, and a fun time for all. If you plan to go, RSVP to valsjacobs@gmail.com ASAP and come armed with a suggested $10 donation and a dairy-free, kosher-for-Passover side dish and dessert to share.

There will also be an egg hunt Thursday at 5:30 at Simonds Park. All are welcome, and there is no fee! Register here (Activity Code 301110-A (Ages 2-4), B (ages 5-8), and C (ages 9-12).
