Daily Buzz | School Committee to Discuss Recent MCAS Results

And, catch a discussion of the CPA this evening.

Good afternoon!

After giving my home some much-needed post-vacation TLC, I am back with today’s Daily Buzz. First, of course I had to mess something up in the Weekly; the Spike Out Cancer fundraiser is Friday, not Thursday. That’s been corrected in the online version of the Weekly. Sorry for the mix-up! The volleyball team would be thrilled to have your support on Friday. They’re raffling off some amazing things to support the American Cancer Society – Get your advance raffle tickets here!

Today in Burlington

The Foreign Affairs and Current Events forum already happened, so I’ll pick up with events for this evening.

  • 6:30 PM – What’s it Worth? virtual event through the library; registration required
  • 7:00 PM – Community Preservation Act talk and church tour at United Church of Christ Congregational
  • 7:00 PM – Board of Health meets for its regular meeting, but there are no specific projects on the docket – just reports from the Chair and Staff. (Join online)
  • 7:00 PM – School Committee will do a second read of the Superintendent’s goals and discuss MCAS results from last year. They’ll also hear from the Fox Hill School Building Committee and discuss/vote on a BHS Renovation Committee. (Join online)

Previous Scores

Thanks to Suzi for the following soccer scores from yesterday. I’m not going to do much more digging than that, and instead will start fresh.

In Woburn, Girls Varsity soccer tied 0-0 and Boys Varsity soccer lost 2-3.

Today’s Schedule

  • Golf is in Watertown at 3:30.
  • Volleyball plays Arlington at home: JVB and JVA at 4:00 and 4:15, and Varsity at 5:30.
  • Freshman boys play Woburn in soccer at 4:15.

That’s it for now. Enjoy the rest of your day. I’ll be back on schedule tomorrow!
