Daily Buzz | Recreation Department to Discuss Simonds Park Pickleball Court with Neighbors

And congratulations to our state champion U11 baseball team!

Hello, Burlington, and welcome to another exciting and fun-filled week.

I want to first send out a huge congratulations to our U11 baseball team for taking home the state championship this weekend! Great work! And to all the families who carted their kids back and forth to practices, games, and events, I see you. You helped make this happen! Expect a full write up for this weekend’s championship games from Tony soon, and be sure to cheer on our 11Us as they head to regionals in Maine next weekend.

Sadly, our U8s lost all three of their games and did not move on. Better luck next year!

Today in Burlington

Just a few short things today, because I’m falling asleep sitting up after such a busy weekend.

  • 9:00 AM – Select Board Alcohol Subcommittee to discuss a beer garden for the Economic Development Department (yay!) as well as Border Café and Treasury.
  • 6:00 PM – Recreation Commission meets and will be discussing a Simonds Park pickleball court with neighbors, as well as a request to use reserve funds for Celebrate Burlington.
  • 7:00 PM – Information Systems Security Advisory Committee (ISSAC) will view a presentation by the School Department about assessing technology software, and will discuss cybersecurity policy implementation and have a first reading of the Departmental Information Sheet.

That’s it for today. Have a great one, Burlington!
