Winter berries from Barbara Martinez.

Hello, Burlington, and Happy Monday!

šŸ“ƒ Friday was the final day to return nomination papers for the April 1 election, and there is mixed news from this. I’m going to hold off on updating the official Buzz article until I hear from the Town Clerk’s office, but it appears as though there will be a contested race for both Recreation Commission and School Committee, along with Town Meeting Precincts 2, 5, and 7 3-year seats. However, it looks like we lack enough candidates to fill upen seats in some other precincts. You can see the details here, and I’ll update the official article when I hear confirmation that the information I have is final.

šŸŽ—ļø Reminder: you’ve still got about a week to pick up your paid Hive membership at the 2022 rate of $50 per year. After February 20, the rate will go up to $60 per year. Thanks to all you amazing paid members. Your support makes it possible for me to continue doing this work!
