Daily Buzz | Final Days for Entry in Robotics Raffle

www.burlington.buzz
I was near the city for work yesterday and kept trying to get photos of the beautiful sky and the sun beams poking down through the clouds. I never could get a great angle, but here’s a shot of two of the most iconic landmarks in Boston—the Zakim bridge and the Prudential Center. Photo by author.

Good Morning, Burlington!

There are only two more days to put your name in the running for the BHS FIRST Robotics Team’s raffle for a diamond and peridot ring valued at $1,750. Tickets are $10, and funds raised will go towards Devil Botz team operations. The robotics program would use these funds to purchase parts to build the best robot possible and to cover travel expenses for the tournaments they enter around the state.

Learn more and enter the raffle here.

The question of why the Robotics team isn’t funded from school coffers like sports teams are was raised in reply to a previous Buzz; I plan to look into how sports and non-sports activities are funded at the school level.
