What, why, and a little bit of how

Good Morning!

This is the first of several best-of posts that I’m leaving for you while I go up to the White Mountains and leave my computer behind.

Please refer to the Weekly Buzz and the town calendar for a list of things that are going on in town each day this week. I’ll be back Thursday or Friday, hopefully refreshed and recharged and ready to finish out the summer (because did you know it’s AUGUST?!).

My first big post that went outside of daily news, which about half of you might not have seen because our subscriber list was pretty small at that point, was about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). I wrote it after a now-infamous interaction between the DEI Committee Chair and the Select Board, to help folks understand a little bit more about what DEI really means and why we need to actively cultivate inclusion rather than pointing diversity as the end game.
