Your running summary of candidates for office in the Burlington, Massachusetts, 2026 local election, updated 1/11/2026
Candidates have begun returning their nomination papers to the Town Clerk's office ahead of the 2026 local election in Burlington, MA. Papers became available on January 2, and candidates have until February 18 to pick theirs up and February 20 to drop them off with the requisite number of signatures (50 for town-wide seats and 10 from precinct members for Town Meeting seats).
Both candidates and voters have an opportunity this spring to determine who represents Burlington residents at the local level, making decisions about policy, local bylaws, and how money is spent in town.
Here is the current list of candidates who have returned their nomination papers, updated January 11, 2026. Incumbent Town Meeting members will have the opportunity to indicate their intent to re-run for their seats at Town Meeting on January 26, so expect this list to get a lot longer after that date.
