Weekly Buzz | Shop Local First This Holiday Season
Also, half-day Wednesday

Good Morning, Burlington!
I hope you found lots of useful and fun info in the Winter Guide! Don’t forget to bookmark the digital guide to reference throughout the winter season and look for paper copies at different locations around town.
One very important thing I meant to say in yesterday’s email is that this is the weekend to get a jump start on your holiday shopping. Sure, there’s Small Business Saturday next week, which is awesome! But there’s also Black Friday, the day before—and while Black Friday is a great chance for shoppers to find extraordinary deals, I’m going to challenge you to to shop your local small businesses first this holiday season, before hitting up the big box stores. That way, you can help out our friends and neighbors while crossing gift items off your list.
Winter Guide sponsor, Made in Burlington, is a great one-stop shop for home items, gifts, and more. Located in Wayside Shopping Center, they also hold crafting classes every week so you can make your own seasonal items to decorate your home!
Note that Wednesday there will be a half-day for schools and town offices. We hope you take some time to decompress this week before the holiday rush starts!
