New Shops, Fresh Eatery Bring Fresh Energy to Burlington’s Wayside
Burlington's Wayside Shopping Center adds new shops and a Japanese restaurant, offering fresh dining and shopping options as the plaza continues to evolve for visitors.
Wayside in Burlington is getting a head start on ringing in the holiday season with some new shopping and dining destinations for visitors to enjoy.
The shopping plaza has added new stores including Golf Galaxy and Diamonds and Pearls by David’s Bridal, alongside Hinoki, a restaurant with Japanese cuisine, which is set to open next year.
Allyson Reed, the Senior Property Manager at Wayside, said each of these businesses brings its own set of distinct qualities that customers can enjoy whether they are stopping in for a quick visit before dinner or if they are dedicating their day to shopping.
Reed said Golf Galaxy is a “high-energy” store that is perfect for anyone interested in the sport. Whether you’re at a beginner level looking to brush up on your skills, or looking for top-notch clubs to step up your game, you can find what you need here. Golf Galaxy is a “full-service store and experience for golfing,” said Reed.
Diamonds and Pearls is a brand new boutique experience from David’s Bridal. Reed said this is only the second open location of this new concept store, and she’s excited for customers to have access to this luxury experience. The store contains a wide variety of curated wedding dress styles that future brides can come in and try with family and friends during their personal fitting. Customers can also choose from a wide variety of accessories, shoes, and dresses for themselves and their bridal party.
In between dress shopping and browsing top tier golfing gear, customers can fuel up at Hinoki. This new restaurant will be opening up at Wayside in the first quarter of next year, Reed said, and infuses Japanese and Asian cuisine with tapas style dishes.
“They have a location currently in Greenwich, Connecticut, which receives great reviews,” Reed said. “We think they’re going to bring something to Wayside that isn’t already there, and it’ll be a great sit-down experience.”
Reed said the restaurant will also be able to accommodate private parties or large gatherings, in addition to their unique spin on Wayside’s culinary scene.
With these new destinations adding to current selections like L.L. Bean, The Treasury Indian & Greek Restaurant, J. Crew factory store, and much more, Reed said the assortment of dining and retail locations provides endless options for visitors during the cold months and throughout the year.
“It can be a one-stop visit, and it can also accommodate multi-store shopping visits,” Reed said. “So you make one stop, you can get something to eat, and in the warmer months, you can sit outside on the Greenway.”
Going into the future, Reed said customer feedback is essential to keep Wayside growing in its amenities, ensuring the established shopping destination “continues to evolve as customer and shopper tastes, needs, and demands change, too.”
As these new businesses settle in, shoppers are invited to stop by and experience the evolving mix of dining and retail for themselves.
