Bring Your Best Smile for Burlington's Santa Party
Back for its eighth year, the free event sponsored by Kadilak Realty Group promises fun and photo opps for all
The Annual Santa Party at Grandview Farm hosted by Kadilak Realty Group is back for another year to bring even more festive fun to the Burlington community.
On Sunday, December 7, children and families are invited to an afternoon full of holiday crafts, cookie decorating, a magic show, STEM activities from Einstein’s Workshop, and even a chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. There will also be an opportunity to donate toys, clothing, food and more to Burlington’s local non-profit, Wee Care.
Susan Kadilak from Kadilak Realty Group said the event has been going on for about eight years and has only continued to grow over time. She said last year over 500 people were in attendance for the holiday festivities.
“Our first year we had less than 100 people, and last year we had about 500,” said Kadilak. “It’s something fun for families to do, it’s a free event… it’s festive and also a good cause.”
Kadilak said since the event has been going on for some time, the organization aspect has become easier over time. Although it definitely is a lot of planning, in terms of contacting vendors, picking out craft ideas for the kids, and more, she said they have “all the processes down.”
The main initiative of this event is to get the community together and give families something fun to do together during the holiday season, said Kadilak. She added that the feedback from the community and clients has been nothing but positive, as children and their parents can’t wait to come back every year and participate in the assortment of activities.
“I think seeing the same people come back every year as well as new people, makes us want to keep it going because it's something that's become a tradition for some families,” Kadilak said.
Kadilak said for this year she is most excited to see the magic show make its comeback. She said last year was the first time adding it to the activity lineup, and it received stellar ratings from the kids. Of course, you can’t forget about Santa Claus either, who Kadilak said is always ready for a photo op and eager to hear what is on everyone’s wish list.
The event is set to start at 10:00 AM at Grandview Farm, so bundle up in your coziest holiday sweater, bring your best smile for Santa, and get ready to dive into the holiday season with your family and friends in Burlington.
