Weekend Buzz | Get Your Vote On!

Hello, Burlington!

Todays’s Buzz is simple: Go vote! Take the 5 minutes you’d usually spend reading the Buzz, and head out to the high school to vote. Seriously, you’ll be in and out in no time. Bring your kids! There will be a student vote, too, where kids can fill out their own ballots!

(If you’ve already voted, spend the next five minutes gazing out the window at nothing at all.)

Grab a friend on the way, and be sure to let them know they can find all the election information in one place—including candidate interviews and debates with BCAT and the Buzz, the Town Clerk’s website and more—right here at the Burlington Equity Coalition Elections website.

I’m not joking, btw. Before I started the Buzz, I can’t tell you how many times I drove past the election sign on an April Saturday and thought, “what election?” and then shrugged and went about my day. I realize now both how important it is and how easy it us to overlook.

Spread the word that the election is here and why it’s important, and help your Burlington friends and family to get educated and vote.

Oh—and also take some nonperishables to the library for the People Helping People food drive from 10-2.

See you tomorrow,

Nicci
