And away we go!

This project started by accident, as I was reflecting on my journey toward learning more about our town and its local government.

My **VOTER INFO** posts have been well-received on social media, and some friends have suggested I try something more formal. When I heard that the local newspapers are going to be more regionally focused, my next move seemed obvious.

I’m a writer, and I’m a community volunteer. I’m a mom and I care deeply about the community where my kids are growing up.

One of the biggest obstacles to community engagement is lack of awareness. Through Burlington Buzz, I hope to increase residents’ understanding of our local government and current events affecting our town.

Subscribe now

I’ll be reposting my profiles and musings from Facebook here, as well as letting you know when our various Boards, Committees, and Commissions are meeting and, when possible, what’s on the agenda. Expect to hear about upcoming events as well, like Truck Day, Election Day, Recreation Department Signup Day (an especially important one for us parents) and more.

If you have something coming up you’d like me to mention, just email me. If you’ve got thoughts or more context to add to one of my posts, the comments are open!

Looking forward to connecting!

Nicci
